I’m boring and that’s OK.
In a world of where everyone seems to be always busy, travelling, attending amazing events, being seen in the right places with the right people I realised how boring my feed must look in comparison. 🤓
I like being at home, I enjoy simple things like going for a walk, reading, doing my nails and spending time with loved ones. I don’t have a full calendar and quite honestly break out at the thought of having so many commitments. 💥
Don’t get me wrong I still like people...Well some people🤪 but I just don’t enjoy being around people all the time. I was always outgoing and social and in some respects I still am...I just don’t want to do it as often.
I enjoy my simplified, less complicated life and its OK that I no longer enjoy the things I did before. But I was worried this would hurt my business as my marketing and feeds were not interesting or flash enough, add in that I’m more about the intangible benefits and I felt like I couldn’t compete.
➡️Would people think I’m not as good or capable? Do I need to be seen in better places to be taken seriously? Will I need to show the trappings of success to get people to work with me?
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt this way. But let’s not forget that being boring on your social feed doesn’t mean you are not interesting, clever, fun or great at what you do, it’s just you like to spend your time differently.
Do we really need to be someone else to get our clients? Those that can’t see past the shiny baubles are probably not my clients anyway. That’s OK as there is room for all of us, as I not doing much else at least I will have plenty of time for you!
🆗So my feed is not glamorous, doesn’t look lavish or packed full of adventure but its mine. 👀 I’m owning being boring and I’m here to say it’s ok!
Let’s chat about how we could be boring together 🤣 book a call or check out how you could work with me.
